For someone who's been blogging for over 14 years, you'd think I'd have this blogging thing down well enough. That I'd have all the bits and pieces put together properly.
In reality, I have a Blogging To Do List a mile long. And, I can never seem to get all my items done. In fact, my list always seems to grow longer instead of shorter.
And, truth is, blogging is such an ever-changing space, it really is almost impossible to keep up. I think, even if you were doing this full time (I'm not, by the way, in case anyone wants to know ;)), I don't think it's possible to be on top of everything all the time. And, while that may be a bit exasperating, it is also one of the many reasons I love blogging.
That's why I make it a point just to do one new thing on this blog every chance I get. Something I've been hoping to do. A new theme to check out. A new plugin to try. A new widget to install. A new intro/overview page (something I'm still hoping to do one of these days!).
Whatever it is on that list of new things to work on, I know it's always healthy for bloggers to give them a go. As long as we make sure we don't break our blogs in the process. Or, if we do break it, we have a back-up plan of how to un-break it. 🙂
Recently, I decided to try something I've been meaning to do for some time. That is, sign-up with UrbanSpoon and start using their widget in this blog.
Since I started doing some restaurant reviews here again recently, I thought this would be a good fit.
How about you? Are you a blogger? What's the most recent new thing you've done for your blog? What's the one thing you wish you can do right now?
UPDATE: Just heard from UrbanSpoon that my blog has now its own page and my first post is now up. Yay!Now let's see if this works out well on both sides.
This is my 15th entry to the #31Days of New blogging project, where I’m exploring the concept of #31Newness. I'm almost halfway done with this project! Slowly losing steam, admittedly, but pushing through it. Thank you to all who's been leaving comments/sending feedback. Your support helps to keep me blogging! 🙂
