Back in December 2014, I shared my new adventure in surface pattern design. That's when I made my first pattern available via RedBubble. It was very exciting for me to see my design on items properly for the first time.
Over the last few weeks, I've been busy working on new designs quietly on the side. I haven't shared any of them on the blog and I've only given a tiny preview (from a different collection I'm working on) through this blog's Facebook Page. And, I haven't made any of my new designs available to the public. Well, not until now, that is.
Yes, I'm excited to share my latest design available on RedBubble. It's part of a nautical-themed design collection that I'm working on right now. This one's called Nautical Adventures: Icons.
I love the beach and anything nautical-themed, so it felt like I was definitely designing for myself. That's why I'm trying hard not to buy every single thing I can see on RedBubble with this design on. I'm definitely hoping to get a couple of items, though. I'm especially tempted with the throw pillow, tote bags, kids' shirt, and art print.
Oh, and yes, the leggings! RedBubble recently introduced leggings to their list of available merchandise and it's nice to be able to see my design mocked up on one of them. That's why I'm hoping to wear leggings with my own design one of these days!
Anyway, I got working on my designing skills again, as I've taken another class with Sabina. After the success of the Foundation course, I knew that I was going to get back in the online classroom again with her. This time, I took her Trends '15/'16 course - and it was definitely worth it again. I'm hoping I can write another full review, but needless to say, I highly recommend Sabina's classes.
This nautical-themed collection is actually part of my last assignment. I also did three other assignments, with several elements and patterns in each collection. I hope to share them too in the coming weeks/months.
