The Tall and The Beautiful Shall Inherit The Earth?

According to this article (based on a research published in the Journal of Applied Psychology), height and looks do affect one's salary level. It actually claims that "tall people earn about $789 more per inch, per year."

However, there are exceptions such as Danny De Vito, Verne Troyer ('Mini Me') and Bette Midler.

The working hypothesis? "Confidence and energy may actually be the key to success, but being beautiful certainly doesn't hurt."

Thoughts, anyone?
