Of Silence and Sound

One can find refuge in silence. In it, I can hear myself think... I can feel myself breathe.

However, there are times when silence can be deafening. During these times, I feel like filling in the gaps with any possible sound. Anything seems better than nothing.

But then again, maybe not. I guess, I'd rather be reveling in meaningful silence than engaging in meaningless noise.
