About two years ago, I ventured in to the world of digital doodling. And, while I enjoyed the new medium and the experimentation that came with it, I was sort of disheartened with my early attempts. So, the digital doodles dwindled... and came to a halt. The Wacom Tablet was put aside and the rest of my digital studio packed away (like the rest of my art stuff!). Yes, I have all sorts of excuses - from juggling several jobs to running a business to keeping house to taking care of a family and having a baby to getting really unwell... All real. All valid. To a point. Thing is, none of these excuses matter in the end.
When it comes right down to it: We do what we need to do. We make time for what we long to do.
Who was it that said, "Life is not about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself."
We give ourselves extra strength, extra time, extra ooommmppphhh - when we consider how we can enrich our lives by following our passions. By not giving up even when odds are against us. By opening ourselves to learning. By being free from the fear of failing and making mistakes. By simply DOING. No matter what.
