Remember this project? Yes? No? Well, I do.
In fact, it's been on my mind a lot lately. And, while I have plenty of ideas jotted down in my 'thinking notebook' and various digital journals, I've been wondering what to do next with it.
So, here I am again, exploring possibilities and ideas.
And, I thought that a good next step is to create a central place... an extension... of this online conversation about community building and maintenance.
Since I've become such a big Facebook fan - and I've been really marveling at how people are using this service as a way to keep in touch with their communities - I thought that having a Facebook group is the way to go. At least, ONE way. So, enter: I Love My Blog Community.
Now, what's this meant to do? Other than being able to claim the fact that you're very much in to your blogging community? Well... I'm hoping that the group can be one way for us to share community building ideas, tips and stories. And, if you join it - and promote it to people you know - together we might just be able to develop a good network of community enthusiasts and leaders. And hopefully, create a useful resource for all kinds of blogging communities.
Share your favourite community ideas. Recommend the best community leaders. Talk about the latest community initiatives. Dream up various community projects.
Let's find ways to make our connections more meaningful and rich. So, please, please, please... tell me you love your blog community. Join the I Love My Blog Community Facebook group - and start spreading the love.
