Well, I finally gave in and signed up for an account at last.fm. Even though I've known of the site for a while now, I never really had the opportunity to take a look at it until today when I was taking a break and taking a look at various online communities.
I'm not sure if I'll use it much yet - but I did poke around quite a bit. Partly because I was just fascinated to find music from my childhood/growing up years. Stuff I haven't heard in a very long time. Plus, discovered some new stuff too.
What about you? Have you tried last.fm just yet? Do you like it? Do you use it much?
Anyway, writing of music, I thought I'd share with you all some of the tunes that played a part in my BlogWorldExpo '08 Highlights. I wonder if the people involved will remember 'em? 🙂
In any case, I know I'm late to the game but thanks to the events of BWE, I've fallen in love with Creed, Evanescence, and The Killers. Anyway, here's my BWE '08 Playlist (thanks to Jeanne for helping me to remember the last 2 songs in this list) -
1} Do Re Mi (from Sound of Music) - YouTube Video |
2} Bicycle (Queen) - YouTube Video |
3} I Want It That Way (Backstreet Boys) - YouTube Video |
4} Sweet Caroline (Neil Diamond) - YouTube Video |
5} With Arms Wide Open (Creed) - YouTube Video |
6} Call Me When You're Sober (Evanescence) - YouTube Video |
7} My Own Prison (Creed) - YouTube Video |
8} Rebel Yell (Billy Idol) - YouTube Video |
9} You Shook Me All Night Long (AC/DC) - YouTube Video |
10} 500 Miles (The Proclaimers) - YouTube Video |
11} Mr Brightside (The Killers) - YouTube Video |
Hopefully, this also sort of answers Robin's tag question of: "What song is playing in your head right now?" I'd love to categorise the songs according to the 6 forms of music that he shared, but will probably have to do that another time.
Oh, and if you have a last.fm account - or if you have a song in your head right now - you're more than welcome to share the URL/s and such in the comments section. 😉
