As I mentioned in this BWE '08 Highlights post, one of the things that I had to do at BlogWorldExpo '08 was to present a session on "How to Stay Focused and Healthy as a Blogger" with fellow b5er Jeanne Dupuis for the b5media Blogger Summit. Since a few people requested for my notes on this, I decided to upload my PowerPoint on Slideshare. Hopefully, this will be useful to some of you.
The session was basically divided in to 4 parts:
1. "Keep Your Eye on the Target" (Goal Setting)
2. "Limber, Toned, and Ready to Go" (Tips for Maximum Productivity)
3. "How am I doing, Coach?" (Ways to Gauge Success)
4. "Go for the Gold!" (Celebrating Milestones and Achievements)
I handled parts 1 & 4, while Jeanne talked about parts 2 & 3.
There were a few things during the actual presentation that I wish had turned out differently. But, seeing as I haven't done public speaking in at least a couple of years, I felt very rusty. Plus, the circumstances/timing of our session was less than ideal. But, regardless... I'm glad I did it anyway. Almost made me wish I can do more of 'em, just to keep the nerves away for good. Well - not quite -but, almost! 😀
Anyway, if you do have any questions or clarifications about this presentation, do let me know. I'm sure feedback will help me to improve this material.
