My sewing machine has been sadly neglected over the last few months. However, my pre-schooler who attends an Early Learning Centre is going to be part of a Nativity Play/Concert for the very first time this coming week. And, he's assigned to be one of the shepherds.
As soon as I heard the role assignment, I thought about buying or renting a costume at first. But, in the end, I decided to make him a simple shepherd costume instead. Yes, even if I wasn't quite sure how to make one.
"It doesn't have to be anything fancy, mummy," he told me earlier as I started sewing. Just as well, as I probably can't make anything fancy even if I wanted to. 😀 (So, it's sort of good that I don't have to sew one of the three "wise men's" costumes. Heh.)
The costume is not complete yet. And, I'm finding it a challenge to sew one without any patterns at all. But, ah well. Hopefully, by tomorrow it'll be finished anyway. More pics coming when the whole thing's done.
Hope you're having a great weekend!
