Testing Mobile Blogging With Postie

One of the tough things about blogging for me is that I very hardly have time to sit down in front of my laptop to blog. And, the only time that I'm in front of a desktop is in the office, where I primarily do just tasks related to my job, including work-related blogging/writing (which I need to do more of too!).

Any other time, I'm just attached to my mobile devices (tablet or smartphone).

That's why I've been on the hunt for a good blogging client for my mobile devices. I've tried both the WordPress app and the BlogPress app. And, although they're fine, I seem to keep encountering connectivity issues with remote posting, especially for this blog. That's why I haven't been able to use them much.

That's also partly why I became attracted to using Tumblr and Posterous. These tools just make mobile blogging easier.

But, I'm still keen to figure out a way to make it easier for me to post here on Studio Notes. This way, I'll be encouraged to blog more.

I've been meaning to try and activate the "post by email" feature of WordPress (the platform I use for this blog). But, I couldn't quite figure it out in the past, so I kept putting it off.

Today, I decided I'd give it a go again.

You see, I'd be out on the road once more, travelling for work over the next week. And, even though I've decided to set up Studio Notes on the Go, as my side/mobile travel blogging option, I still want to have an easy way to keep blogging here in my main blog.

Enter Postie, a WordPress plugin.

Hopefully, I've managed to configure this right so I can start blogging here more, and it will be as easy as sending an email.

Let's see how this goes...
