Ever since I heard about the project, A Week In The Life, a few years ago, I've been wanting to give it a go and join Ali Edwards and company. But, somehow, it always seemed too overwhelming.
Today, I accidentally came across the project again. And, this week happens to be the week that the project is open again for the community to join in.
So, even though I woke up this morning not thinking about this project, I decided to jump in just before mid-day.
Why not, hey?
You see, my photography has really stunted lately.
Sure, I still try to take pictures during 'special occasions'. Just a few snapshots to remember the day.
When I was keen on learning DSLR, I took everyday photos. Stuff that just show what regular life is like. I took self-portraits and portraits of my family to study portraiture in photography. I recorded life.
I've been meaning to get more daily photos through Project 365. And, while I have managed to take everyday photos from January to May this year, I ended up giving up on the project around the same time the house hunting/buying/selling/moving began. As you do, I suppose.
But, all is not lost. I decided to re-start Project 365 on the 1st of July. See, I am that keen to keep up with this challenge.
Though I've been taking pictures of the everyday, somehow, my daily pics don't always capture the stories that I want to remember. Which is a pity. Because when my family and I get the chance to have a look at some of those everyday photos and videos that I took a few years ago, we really enjoy it.
So, even if I can't commit to long, ongoing everyday life snapshots, I thought I'd give this "A Week In The Life" project a go. I have no plans, no preparations, no expectations. I'm making my own daily sheets, not using Ali's free daily journalling sheets. We'll see how this rolls.
And, if all goes well, I'll be posting a bit more this week. Sharing highlights from my daily pics and some words/stories to share when I can. It's the first time I'll be sharing such daily snippets from my life. Kinda scary. But, I'm hoping it will be all worth it.
