It's wrap-up time for Day 2 of A Week In The Life project! By this day, the family's getting used to me carrying my cameras around and pointing them everywhere.
Well, they're used to that already anyway. But, they definitely noticed the increased photo opps the last couple of days. The kids are enjoying it and are being very cooperative and patient. The hubby isn't totally comfortable, but he's not complaining too much. Let's see how they'll be by the end of this project.
Today, I literally woke up, grabbed the camera, and took a shot of the first thing that I see every morning. My morning tea, brought by the hubby, placed on my temporary bedside table/drawers.
As soon as I get up, it's time to wake the kids and help them to get ready.
That's the view from the kids' rooms. Yes, even though they snuggle up to us to fall asleep, they eventually end up in their own rooms. Unless they end up waking up and asking to join us in the big bed again.
View from the balcony of the master bedroom.
This is me, taking down laundry (not something I do a lot, admittedly). Some days, I end up doing chores as soon as the kids leave and I finish getting ready. Today was one of those days. In fact, today was unusually productive. Extra buzz today, perhaps, due to my unusually long sleep from the night before.
Say hello to Vicki, our hardworking robot vacuum cleaner. She's been really handy. Since getting her, vacuuming has become my chore. I don't mind too much. She does a good job.
Loading the washing machine. I don't do all the washing, mind you. Hubby does a lot too. In fact, he probably does more than I do. In any case, yes, today, I managed to put on the vacuum, dishwasher, and washing machine all at the same time --- while I get work done in my home office. Productivity FTW!
Most days, this is where I start: Writing my daily 750 Words.
Yep, in my spot. Working. And stuff.
At around 1pm, I realised I haven't had breakfast or lunch yet. Since I was feeling a bit antsy, I decided to get ready to go out.
Yes, that mirror is also a jewellery organiser! Love it.
Left the house to go to the nearby shopping centre. Part of the reason is to have a look at something I started obsessing over on this day (more on this some other time). I didn't find what I was looking for, but I did end up having a nice chicken stir fry for lunch + went home with a few nice things. Including a couple of el cheapo shirts and stuff for the house.
Something I bought at the shop. Cheesy, yes. But, I liked the colour, so... There you go.
Can you see where I put it?
When the family got home, the boy told me all about his dental appointment.
The girl and I had some lovely cuddle and talk time.
Kids, resting, watching TV, and playing. They go through different favourite shows. They're watching Dani's Castle here, I believe. Hubby is in his study there in the background.
Hubby prepared dinner this evening. Steak with broccollini. Served with mashed potatoes (for them) and steamed rice (for me). Yes, I know. Weird me.
The girl offered to help mash the potatoes.
Yes, that's Blue's spot every dinner time.
Until, of course, it's time for his dinner.
The rule in our house is that whoever cooks need not wash the dishes. Unless, of course, you cooked for yourself. If that's the case, then, you cook, you eat, you wash. 🙂 Anyway, for this evening, since hubby cooked, there I was.
Hubby helped the kids with homework, piano practice, and getting ready for bed while I did the dishes.
Hubby made the bed, with some help from the kids.
Jumping on a freshly made bed. Ah, yes.
They do have a habit of being extremely hyper and happy just before bed time. Love it. But, so exhausting sometimes. Wish I still had this much energy at this time of the day.
Total photos for the day: 29 (took around 60)
Cameras used: Canon Powershot + Nikon D7000 + camera phone. Mostly used the Nikon, though.
Photo Editor Used: Picasa for Windows
