Over the last couple of hours, I've been nursing a mammoth migraine and terrible stomach pains. A part of me says that I should skip this blog post and just post this update tomorrow. Or on another day when I am not reeling in pain. Another part - the part that's obviously winning right now - says I should just get on with it and do my best to post something. Even if I have to come back later to edit and/or re-write.
Well, here I am. Blogging through the pain. Literally. Not sure if I've ever blogged under these circumstances before. So, if this isn't dedication to this Week In The Life Project, then I don't know what is.
Now, if you see anything amiss in this post, I'll just blame the Panadol. ๐
Yep, moi. Fresh out of bed. In my fluffy pink dressing gown. With a cup of tea. Getting the family ready before I get ready. I've had terrible sleep that night. Just 3.5 hours. So, I was feeling groggy.
The kids get washed and ready.
Making breakfast and lunch boxes for the kids.
Tried carving a message on the girls' apple slices. I asked the hubby if the boy would ask why he didn't get a message in his lunch box. He said he probably won't care, so I decided not to do it for him.
When I asked what the thought of her message, she said she loved it. Almost didn't want to it. And, yes, the boy found out about the message and was not pleased. Yikes.
Hubby, making his own lunch. Lamenting the fact that he wasn't getting a carved message or a packed lunch from me.
Rushing out of the house to catch the school bus this morning (they don't usually take it in the morning).
When the hubby and kids left, I decided to climb back in to bed, to try and get a bit more sleep. But, I couldn't. Ended up working in bed for an hour or so.
Since I couldn't get more sleep, decided to get ready for the day instead. Wearing one of the new shirts I bought from the day before.
In a Lync meeting with one of the people I work with through a client. Organising announcements for an exciting launch.
Making lunch here. Pork tocino, with fried rice, and fried egg. A fave.
Lunch, with peach iced tea. And an iView catch-up of the latest Dance Academy Season 3 episode. Yes, I'm a bit pathetic. I still like teen dance stuff. Even if the characters in this series can be quite annoying, I'm still hooked.
After picking up the kids from the school bus stop and having a mini rest, the kids opted to put away their clean clothes in to their respective wardrobes. In exchange for "bunny points" (a currency at our household at the moment).
The boy wasn't happy that there were more clothes to put away in this round compared with the last one. He was negotiating for higher bunny points. Yep, my son. The negotiator.
Dinner was marinated chicken wings barbecued in the oven. Served with buttered corn kernels, mashed potatoes and rice.
Due to an early start (and lack of sleep), people started getting grumpy shortly after dinner. Thankfully, piano practice and homework were out of the way, so time to get ready for bed.
In spite the tiredness, there is always time for cuddles. And some laughs. More on this later.
Kids were happy to oblige with one final shot before sleep.
I will have to add other notes from today another time, as I think I've reached the limit of my dedication for now. ๐
