Taking Part in SALA Festival 2015

SALA Festival 2015

It's SALA Festival season in Adelaide! For all of August, there will be several South Australian Living Artists exhibits and events happening all around the state. And, this year, I am taking part!

Through my local art studio, Splashout Art Studios, I am showing one of my paintings through one of the Splashout on Cotto events happening in Adelaide. In fact, the good folks at Splashout chose my painting to be featured in all of the studio's posters and marketing materials (pictured above).

The title of the painting is 'Morning Tea', and it's acrylics on gallery wrap canvas. Currently priced at AU$150. It's one of over 30 paintings being exhibited during SALA at various Splashout venues.

My painting will be shown at Cotto Espresso in Hyde Park. There will be other paintings from various Splashout artists in the same venue, as well as other Cotto Espresso venues. I believe Splashout is also showing some work in the Splashout gallery in Brighton. So, if you're in the Adelaide area, do drop by and check out the exhibits.

Apart from my painting being shown at Splashout on Cotto, I am also part of the Open Studio event happening at Marino. I'll be painting 'live' with the Splashout Team next Sunday, 9 August, from 1 to 5pm. If you're near the area, please come and visit the studio. There will be drinks and nibbles available, and a really fun party atmosphere in a beautiful location.

I'm really excited about all of these, as it has been a while since I took part in SALA. Probably close to a decade ago. It was the first and last time that I joined the festival as an artist (not just a spectator/supporter). So, it's really great that I am able to take part again this year finally. Can't wait to share more stories from the exhibit and open day!
