Never tried to do a full travel journal before. But, since my trip to Italy last 13-30 June 2014 was an art tour, I thought I'd make a special effort to sketch regularly. So, I did. And, though I feel like I still have a lot to learn when it comes to sketching, I'm glad I did this. In spite their imperfections, I enjoy looking at the pages in my first full travel sketchbook. They bring me back to every single memory I had of my amazing trip. I hope, in some way, you may also enjoy some of these pages from my Italian travel sketchbook.
You can pause the slideshow by hovering on the image and clicking on the 'pause' icon. You can manually move forward and backward from there too using the left and/or right arrow icons. For those who might be interested, here's the Travel Sketching Kit that I used for this trip. Most of these sketches were done on location (though usually painted later), unless otherwise noted.
